Dynamic Background Video

This page demonstrates how to display dynamic background videos in Divi using the Dynamic Content feature. Dynamic background videos can be added to Sections, Rows, and Modules using custom fields, making it easy to manage and update video content from the WordPress admin area.

Important Note

To display dynamic background videos, you will need to add your video source to a custom field. You can use any WordPress custom field plugin of your choice. The examples on this page use ACF field types to dynamically display background videos in Divi Sections, Rows, and Modules.

Admin Demo Note:
You can explore this feature by enabling the Visual Builder and locating the Dynamic Content icon in Section, Row, or Module Settings under Content > Background > Background Video. You can also click Edit Page in the WordPress admin bar to review how the custom fields are configured and connected in the backend.

YouTube Background Video

In this example, a YouTube video is added as a background video in the "Section Settings" using the Dynamic Content feature.

Vimeo Background Video

In this example, a Vimeo video is added as a background video in the Section Settings using the Dynamic Content feature. The "Background Video Sound" option is also enabled, allowing visitors to hear the video audio when the section becomes active.

MP4 Video

In this example, an MP4 video is added as a background video in the Section Settings using the Dynamic Content feature.

WebM Video

In this example, a WebM video is added as a background video in the "Row Settings" using the Dynamic Content feature.

MOV Video

In this example, a MOV video is added as a background video in the "Module Settings" using the Dynamic Content feature.

Example 1 - Background Video with Overlay Background Color

In this example, a dynamic background video is combined with an overlay background color to enhance the overall visual appearance and create a layered design effect.

Example 2 - Background Video with Overlay Gradient Color and Background Video Sound

In this example, a dynamic background video is combined with an overlay gradient background, and the Background Video Sound option is enabled. This demonstrates how video, color overlays, and audio can work together to create a more engaging user experience.

Example 3 - Background Video with Content

This example combines a dynamic background video with an overlay gradient background. The video is applied to the section background, while text and other content are displayed on top of it to create an engaging hero section.
